Why did Aizen put Aaroniero somewhere wher there's "sunlight"? Because Aizen is the biggest troll, you guys. We know that lol Normally Hollows that get "killed" by a soulreaper get purified and go back to the soul society. This specific Hollow that fought Kaien was an experiment from Aizen (he mentioned that at the end of soul society arc), so he put some kind of mechanism in place that made it return to Hueco Mundo instead. That's where it got devoured by Aaroniero, which was not part of Aizens plan but he just went with it.

That classification is set before they become Arrancar so the only Arrancar that are actual Vasto Lordes were humanoids before the Arrancar transformation. This means that Aizens Arrancar are made up of Gillian, Adjuchas, and Vasto Lordes BUT we don’t know the classification unless we see them before the transformation. Espada #9 is an Arrancar but his hollow classification is Gillian. The reason they look human like is because Aizen perfected the transformation process as well as them being strong to begin with.
