2025-09-08 22:08:53 +0000 UTCAlso major change happens here from the book to show since there is a major thing changed, so I'll spoil the books (DODGE IT IF YOU WANT TO READ THEM) In the show it wont happen but in the books, Catelyn's body is thrown into the river (as an humiliation since her House, Tully, symbol is a fish). But her story doesnt stop there. She later comes back as a "ghost" lady, who cant speak (because her throat was slit). She has some followers with the Brotherhood without Banners and track down every Frey man, hanging them, haunting the region. She's then known as "Lady Stoneheart". I'm actually REALLY made this was cut from the show and it's even the ending cliffhanger of the book. Even worse, we all thought the reveal was just pushed away from next season, Lena Headey (Cersei) even posted on her Instagram (IIrc) a vacation picture of a heart made of beach stones. We ALL thought it was confirmed. I wanted Michelle Fairley in Lady Stoneheart makeup SO MUCH.

2025-09-08 19:01:44 +0000 UTCFINALLY When I read this part, I threw the book away in the room and didnt touched it for two days :D In the book its even sadder because you read it through Catelyn's eyes and she thinks Robb is her last son, so she sees her family dies with him and goes mad. She rips her cheeks skin with her own fingers (Shedding tears of blood) and as the Frey man grabs her hair to slit her throat she thinks Ned liked her hair so she doesnt want them to be cut. When Cat noticed Roose Bolton's hidden mail, and the Rains of Castamere played, in the book, it froze my blood. A masterpiece scene. The 'Rains of Castamere' is indeed a song and a story. It is basically a song used by House Lannister to remember people to not try to f with them. Tywin once sent a bard sing the song to a rebellious family just to make them remember what would happen if they crossed him, making them instantly fall back in rank. Walder Frey betrayed not only the Starks but also one of the most important custom in the Seven Kingdoms, the Bread and Salt, meaning a host wil protect guest under his roof. People thought that for doing this, his House would be cursed forever.

Also he just might want power to himself and saw opportunity. Btw last episode there was a hint when Jaime said to Bolton "Send Rob Stark my regards"...
