It's using both the crystal and the phone battery, shouldn't that we changed over from one to the next since the crystal is powering the mind and body. Or is this a hint he can use alot more than just his physical energy.

He can passively work on his Longitus as he pleases without TOO much interruption. Also, guessing this is how we get our local fox girl for the story - a Kitsune lass would be a mighty fine ally, with their potent capabilities in magics. And considering how Kyoto in DxD is basically Kitsune Central, containing the very few 9t's in existence, it's only natural. Wonder if he'll learn Japanese to blend in better.
