Monthly Thanks Message - September 2023 -

I'm here today to say thank you to all of you who decided to keep on your support or to start supporting Just Friends.

Amidst the information of leaks I was having last month, we got at least 5 new patrons this month which gives me hope that I will be able to eventually conclude Just Friends, but not only that but to eventually start the L. L. project that I've been writing in the sidelines for a while now. 

Creating Visual Novels is my passion, and it's thanks to you all that I am able to dedicate my full time to it. This month I was able to finally deliver Johan's first route, he still has a lot of parts to be completed, but I'm sure that by now all of you already know how big his route is, all of what you play in this new build are his new first act only. 

I also have added the cheat-sheet for all routes but I would appreciate if you guys can test every single option for them, some F- Class routes have a lot of text too with Johan's being a more complex character. 

There are a lot of things that may happen in the future that could change the direction of the game, but I would really appreciate if you all can keep supporting me from now on, remember, if things gets really difficult for you guys you can always tone down your pledge to only 3USD a month, you have no idea how much your continuous support help me and this project to keep going on. 

Despite all the troubles and piracy information we got this last month, with even some places saying they're "allowing everyone to see the content so they can support the project later on" as if we, as creators, don't release a free-to-play build every now and then on itch.io, which is, of course a blatant lie considering the sheer amount of people supporting those websites with donations instead of supporting creators themselves, they are doing more harm than good to small creators like me. 

The fact that you guys allowed me to password-protect the content from Patreon, which I'm sure it's troublesome for you all, allows me to at least make sure the content that is here is only for you guys, but it also will eventually, make more people feel inclined to support the project itself instead of keeping grabbing the latest builds without permission, right? 

Like I said, I'm not the only small creator suffering through this, but it's thanks to your support and care that I am able to at least slowly continue working on this project, so thank you, guys. Let us hope that the content now being truly locked, or at least harder for anyone outside here to brute force their way out of the way, will make some of those 170+ people who were snagging our project which you guys are constantly helping me (some of your for years  now!) to come here and actually support the project.

That's why I beg of any of you, including any of you who are reading about this from one of those websites: Come to my page, and support the project as a Tier 1 at least, it will help a lot. Then, go to https://yekkusu.itch.io/just-friends-visual-novel and download the free public build there, that gets an update every six month's. If you truly want to play the latest build, that's a Tier 2+ patron reward, and 3 more bucks will not hurt you right?

My patreon was never updated in the price for the tiers. I never changed the values for Tier 1 through 3, instead, I created an extra tier for those who want to give extra support, because even if I NEED the extra money and make tier 1 go up from 3 to 5 bucks, Tier 2 from 6 to 10 and 3 from 10 to 15 would double my income and make it faster for me to speed up the project by hiring new artists, sound design and maybe start working on this game with a Team, nor by my own, I ultimately decided to not change the tier pricings, because just as you all here know how hard it is for me to make this game alone and how I've been scrapping by, by making the bare minimum for years to be able to survive while I create this project I do understand that not everyone can support with more than 3$ a month or 6$ a month.

So I ask of you who are not a patron but are here on Patreon reading this open post or are in one of those sketchy websites reading this content, please: Support the project. Even as a Tier 1. Your help will mean the world to me and it will also make sure that I can put more people to work on the project, and maybe even expand if if that's the desire of my patrons by then! Maybe, even, I will be able to start working on my second Visual Novel which is a bigger project with a more complex history for all of you.
