I've had this idea since the very start, but the last strip was my first opportunity to actually design him. He was a wild man in his youth, getting covered in tattoos, and having ear and tail body modifications. Then he fell in love with his pug beau and settled down. The inspiration came from my best buds dad when I was growing up -a tattoo clad house husband! (Which used to be more remarkable in the 80's!)
I haven't figured out quite how to get all this into a comic yet, but the dog family are the cats closest friends, so expect them to be reoccurring characters -and now you know more than anyone else about them! ;)
