Making of "Hurry"

This one kind of happened to me. I accidentally gave my 4yo the then 1yo's shorts, which he squeezed himself into and then very confused, declared that he must have grown!
This comic stayed pretty consistent from start to finish, with just some minor tweaks. I used a picture of the mom from an older strip for the initial layout, which is why she has the bandanna at the start. Turns out I drew her a lot wider back then, so I had to crash diet her!
I really wanted to capture the sensation of how it feels to be a parent in a rush, so I drew the "Hurrys" around her like they're boxing her in.
I was going to have "#1 Big Bro" and "#1 Little Bro" on the t-shirts to make the joke more obvious, but then I thought it would also make her mixing them up less likely. I switched them to Incredibles t-shirts because we have a pair and I'm always getting the muddled when I'm sorting out the laundry.
