Making of "Hatchlings"

The punchline of this one was originally going to be a dad croc and son slobbing out on the couch, but I thought having several baby crocs would be cuter and give me more couch potato joke options.
I love doing pictures where the mess tells a story, but they also take ages! It's like a puzzle, where you have to consider everything from a storytelling and technical perspective. I wanted the babies to all be doing something slightly different, but I also had to be mindful that they weren't overlapping each other in a way that made it visually hard to understand.
For example, at the start I had the remote covering the baby's "beer" belly, so I switched hands, but then I wanted to have him with a giant soda, so I had to figure out a way for him to hold it in his right hand, without covering him up.
There's a bit of a personal Easter egg in this one. My then 3yo dubbed Dortios "Spicy Triangles" so that's what I put on the packet of chips! :)
