Making of "Mother's Day"
Added 2019-05-13 20:53:18 +0000 UTCI've been wanting to use this laser pointer joke for almost a whole year!! I knew it would make a perfect Mother's Day comic, so I had to keep it under wraps.
I had some issues trying to draw her comfortably holding the book AND laser pointer, until I realized I could use her tail! I had a bunch of people on Reddit give me grief about a cat having a prehensile tail -they're going to really freak out when they notice that they're also wearing clothes and talking! :)
I didn't make any huge changes as I went along with this one, mainly just tweaking the placement and size of things. It stuck me right at the end that she was small on the sofa, so I had to go in and redraw the background, which was really annoying! Sometimes you just don't see these things until you add color.
