Making of "Priorities"

I've had this comic idea for a while, but the hard part was coming up with a situation where you might need to call 911, but that's not so serious that you'd be a terrible person for taking a photo first! :)
The claw machine was the perfect solution! Plus it gave me the excuse to give a nod to a bunch of other artists!
Having a series of panels showing the thumb moving back and forth between the icons was confusing. Then I remembered artists like Adam Tots have used simple animation in some of their comics, which would work much better and give me space to add one last panel of her panicking.

I had to do some reshuffling right at the end because they were looking messy on the bonus panel. I took the Boo ghost out altogether because it was confusing next to the white dalmatian fireman.
I originally didn't have the kid crying in the bonus panel, because I felt bad for him, but friends convinced me that it was funnier, so I went for it! Still feel a bit bad though! :)
