Making of "New Years"
Added 2020-01-02 17:16:37 +0000 UTCThis wasn't the strongest joke ever and I almost didn't do it, but I thought the addition of the "only just" setting sun and Dad Cat's t-shirt would make up for it.
I wanted to have Fran sort of curled up like a cat in the armchair -but a bit awkward because she obviously has a humanoid body. I struck gold on Google image search! I had to adapt it a little to work around Fran's enormous head.
I finished the strip and thought their celebrations looked a bit lame, so I went back in and added some party supplies.
I was pleased with the bonus panel. I really like showing the parents as partners instead of the tired old trope of the dad being "useless". Dad Cat is often pretty silly, but he is very capable of handling things too! :)
