This one was based on an actual conversation with my then 4yo. Here was the tweet I did at the time which more closely resembles what actually went down. There were more innocuous words in the middle like "E-Word" and "U-Word", but I edited them out for clarity,

For the comic version, I didn't want to joke about the "N-Word", so I switched things around. It also seemed weird for the C-Word to be "cat", so I changed it to "car". I thought it would be fun to have Fran start playing along and then capture her face just as the realization hits.
As the original conversation happened when we were driving, I couldn't shake the idea of it happening the same way here. I realized the setup actually works pretty perfectly as so much rests on Fran's expressions and they are front and center.
I didn't bother with my super rough pencils this time as I knew the characters wouldn't be moving around that much -if I could get the composition right for the 1st frame, it would be good for the others. I used the car panel from the "Baby Shark" comic as a jumping off point.
On previous comics like this, I've rushed the beginning and made mistakes on the background which then had to be corrected across multiple panels. I played it smart this time around and got the background completely finalized before copying and pasting it into all the panels.
I wanted to make it look like the car was moving, so I subtly changed the background outside. It wasn't until I replaced the speech bubbles that I realized that you can't really see my effort, but hey, at least you guys saw it! :)
