Making of "5 Stages"
Added 2020-03-22 02:15:58 +0000 UTCWith the kids home, I don't get much chance to sit in front of my computer, so I've gotten a bit behind on the "making of" stuff. Time to play catch up!
J wrote this script ages ago, but back then I knew I couldn't fit it into the single page format. Now I'm doing longer comics, it was suddenly feasible, although I still put it off for a while because I knew I'd get some judgy comments.
Our 5yo is a FUSSY eater and it's completely karma, because I was a horribly fussy eater too. I'm comforted by the fact that the 3yo is a garbage disposal, so I know it's nature rather than nurture! For the record, we wouldn't actually give in and get him something else, but that's not nearly as funny an ending. :)
This one was all about the faces. I did the 1st couple of passes and then handed it to J to see what he could do. We both liked the eye pulling down bargaining one, but didn't think it was quite selling the mood. I'll definitely save that face for later though -with everyone stuck at home, I doubt it will be that long before I find a use for it!
