Making of "SLOOF"

We started bouncing ideas around back in Feb and eventually came up with SLOOF ("fools" backwards) a mysterious mega-corporation that would come out of nowhere to “sponsor” our everyone's comics.
J came up with the SLOOF logo. He handed me a sketch and said "See, at first it looks like a crown, but when you look a bit harder, you realize it's a jesters hat!" I thought it was bloody brilliant and tided up the logo to send along the webcomic grapevine.
I set up @SLOOFco on Instagram for everyone to link to and then spent the day (and the next!) leaving creepy corporate replies. There were SO many comics, it was amazing! You can see them all here #SLOOFco!
We figured the logo was so cool, people might actually WANT to buy merch, but we obviously didn't want to profit from the stunt. I discovered you can direct Teespring stores to send all profits to charity, so I set one up here! We wanted to pick a charity that worked worldwide and wasn't too polarizing, so we picked the Wildlife Conservation Society.
