Last year I saw this viral tweet and it cracked me up!

I asked the Marcy G if I could turn it into a comic and she said yes! The only problem was at the time, this much talking would have been out of character for Cooper. I thought about having Vince say it instead, but it just wouldn't be the same. So I waited.
As our 3yo's character has bloomed, so too has Cooper's! He's been established as saying a bit more now, so I could finally do justice to this tweet!
I always go into these repetitive panel comics thinking they'll be "easy"! After all, it's just the same thing over and over! The trouble is, if you change one thing later on, you have to change it for ALL OF THEM!
I had finished the strip and was about to post it here, but then I re-read the tweet and realized I'd missed the mark. I had Cooper going back to his coloring, but the suspense of him maintaining eye contact and waiting for a response was important to the gag.
I decided I had also pushed things too far in panel #4. I really liked her exaggerated face, but she was looking too angry and confusing the message.
I went back and reworked it all. It was a pain, but it definitely reflects the original tweet better.
