Making of "Grown Up"

After roughing it out, I asked J if he could think up anything sillier than "chocolate toast". He immediately jumped to "donut burger"!
I initially had Dad Cat looking more defensive, but J thought he should look more accepting. I drew both and really couldn't decide which I liked more, so I asked some friends. They couldn't decide either, so in the end I managed to combine the two with a shifty look to the side.
Most of the donut burgers I Googled had simple sugar frosting, so that's how I drew it. Towards the end I thought it would be cool if it had sprinkles, so I kept scrolling until I found proof that they existed so I could update mine!
I was planning on doing a bonus panel for this one, but then the kids were home sick. I was worried I might start falling behind, so I left it be. I might add a bonus one day when I repost it.
