Making of "Sandwich Law"
Added 2020-11-30 19:44:40 +0000 UTCThis happened a couple of years ago when the eldest was 4. J had plans to illustrate a book of some of the batshit things he says, but he's moved onto a new project, so he gave me all his notes! (Yay!) :)
I'm happy to report I haven't fallen down the stairs -yet! At the time, kiddo kept mucking around on the stairs and I found myself going on and on about me or him falling and dying (you have to be absolute with this kid or he doesn't listen!) Clearly he'd jumped to the conclusion that stairs are so dangerous that Mummy was BOUND to fall down and die eventually! Hey- at least he was listening! π€£
This comic came together surprisingly quick, but then took ages to ink and color -not helped by it being a holiday weekend!
One challenge was making it clear they were parked at the beginning but driving at the end. My solution was to have the parking lot visible out the window and then have him put the seatbelt on later. The seatbelt helped pace the last few panels, so it really helped out there too!
