I have this problem quite frequently, where I try to stay off my phone, but then something happens that I HAVE to post about. If I can't figure out a good way to phrase a post, I write it down in a Google Doc to use for a comic or photo quote later. I rooted through my photo quotes file and found these gems! Both were from quite a while ago but I'd never been able to get a good photo because I'm not going in a restaurant or plane anytime soon! As there's no pandemic in the Litterverse, it seemed like a good time to use them.
The comic came together quickly, but the bonus panel was a PROCESS. I started by thinking Dad cat should say something postable, but I couldn't think of anything in the moment. I moved on to the idea that she'd removed her "temptation" by giving the phone to Vincent:

I liked the idea that she'd shifted the problem from HER being on her phone to VINCE doing it -making everything worse! But it wasn't terribly clear what was going on and probably played better animated in my head.
J suggested taking it a step further and her using the loophole of Vince reading her social media for her:

I wasn't totally happy with this one either and asked my friends for ideas. Zach from Last Place Comics replied:

I started looking up reference pictures for pastry Hogwarts, but then J (thankfully!) suggested how about a Keyboard Cat reference instead! And so we made it, to the bonus panel at last!

(Now eagerly awaiting Zach's rendition of pastry Hogwarts) :)
