Making of "Discharged"

I usually don't know what animal "extras" are going to be when I first sketch them out, so they start out as blank "people" shapes. For this, I realized I could get a gag in about a stork "delivering a baby". Birds are a bit of a pain because of their strange body shapes and big "hands", so I had to shuffle things around a little bit to get her to fit.
It was only at the very end that J pointed out I should remove the belly from pre-dad Dad.
I was proud of coming up with a title for this one that worked for the comic AND the bonus panel! :D
