When we're being serious with the kids we talk about how people are neither good nor bad and it's actions and choices that count -blah blah blah.... but outside of that, we mess around with them.
Someone on Instagram said we should just "treat them equally" which made me laugh because how do you treat two very different people the same? 6yo isn't an idiot, he can see he gets into more trouble, but he also knows how loved he is and how when he's good we practically put on a parade! 😆
My 1st sketch had a very different last panel. I don't mind taking the heat when it's the mom that's doing questionable parenting, but I was worried about the internet coming after J. I tried to temper that by making the ending more wholesome, but when I showed it to J he said I'd lost the joke and he needed to be making "this face" -and he pulled a great face!
I resolved to not hold back on the comic and just add a little disclaimer to the post so people didn't take it the wrong way (as the internet is wont to do!)
