Making of "Heel-Turn"

Everyone's in weird, complicated clothes, I need to get J to help me with the hulk anatomy AND I always want to give readers their moneys worth with the action! I really, REALLY tried to keep this one simple, but it sort of spiraled.
You might remember that the original Outliners sketch had "The Dad Joker". We both really liked it, but a villain in last years story would have been out of place. It was ON this year though! Butt Boy is essentially a Green Lantern, so making him a poo orientated Sinestro crorps was the obvious choice. Evil Tantrum was a bit harder because bad guy Hulk is already red. We thought it would be funny to just dress him up with classic "evil stuff" -like they didn't really know what costume to do either!
I thought what would Mommy Brain do while the guys are out causing havoc? Why some much needed self care of course!
I initially had her relaxing in the bath, levitating some candles around her with her telekinesis, but it wasn't really doing it for me. Then I thought what if I make her more of a slob! Something about the slob + mom + superhero combination made it really funny to me. I found this reference picture for the pose:
Meanwhile the "dad jokes" were a bit lacking! I kept bugging J, but he was having trouble thinking them up on the spot. Eventually I decided to just google them! I had to read a lot of terrible ones before I struck upon ones that fit. J was very impressed with my creative Dadding! 😁
I was literally still coloring this one on the day of posting. My back is STILL not happy with me! But I did it and I was happy with outcome! :)
