I realized I hadn't done an animaly comic in a while so I reviewed my ideas list and "gecko kid always loosing tail" caught my eye.
The story of this one was easy enough, but I needed to make it 100% clear that they were all looking at his (lack of!) tail. This involved quite a bit of rearranging to get it juuuust right.
Once I started neatening things up, I had a hard time putting Jeffery in the initial pose I'd drawn. The proportions in my roughs are often so off, that the characters bend in impossible ways. I figured that must have happened here, so I drew him in a more basic pose. I got all the way to flat colors before showing J and he said that the initial pose was way better. I went back and looked and damn, if he wasn't right! I gave it another shot and this time cracked it! I'm always a bit miffed when he points these things out, but I'm so glad he does! :)
