COMIC: Moments (remastered)
Added 2021-09-11 16:46:08 +0000 UTCThis is a remake of one of my oldest comics and one that's very close to my heart. Those first few months of becoming a mom were some of the worst of my life. My firstborn would cry almost constantly. The sleep deprivation, social isolation and constant feeling of failure drove me the brink.
One of the few things that kept me sane was carefully planning photoshoots. I'd get the staging area ready to go, make sure he had the right outfit on (not too early that it would get dirty, not too late that changing into it would upset him). He'd be perfectly fed, pooped and slept so I could work in that golden 5-10 minute window of contentment. If everything went well, I got to post the pictures on Facebook and bask in the much needed comments telling me how great he was.
For those of you in that dark place now; know that it does get better. You're a good parent.

Here's the before (2018) and after:
The first thing you'll notice is the kitten switched. Despite this being Coopers first ever appearance in Litterbox, this comic was never about Cooper.
The other big change is the setup. The original didn't go far enough to show that the baby was always crying. It made it look like Fran didn't care and just wanted the picture to post. I hope that the new version show's my intent a bit better.
