Making of "Trolling"

J reminded me of it the other day and we thought it could make a good comic. The problem was figuring out HOW.
The natural solution seemed to be Fran and Bunny trolling mom groups with lines like this. Joel could ask what they were up to and be a little bemused by their response. I really wanted the line to be Joel's though, as J had come up with it. I sketched out the 1st draft above, where the ladies get embarrassed by Joel's apparent judgement, before realizing he was just coming up with a good line.
I showed it to J and he said I was onto something, but he didn't like how Fran had misinterpreted Joel. He said they knew each other better than that -which was true!
I realized if I added that they were DRUNK trolling mom groups, it would give him an excuse to leave for a beer, prompting Bunny to assume he'd walked off unimpressed.
For the beer opening panel I used this as reference (thank goodness for Google image search!)
For the bonus, I wanted them all sitting on the sofa together like they're having the best time. It's important to me to show husbands and wives genuinely enjoying each others company, especially doing something childish! That isn't shown enough in media imo!
I wanted to give the final line to Fran, so they'd all got to post something. My immediate thought was something I do think about; breastfeeding is so WEIRD! We get all the way to adults knowing that bodily secretions = gross! Then suddenly it's all "but this one's GOOD and you should feed your baby it!" WAT?! 😆
