My plan was to Mandela Effect everyone and make people wonder for a second if they'd slipped into a parallel dimension! Did I get you? π
Designing the pups, I knew Joel had to be a Boston Terrier because J loves Bostons, which is why cat-Joel has Boston Terrier markings to begin with!
I was a bit worried about what dog Fran would be because ginger dogs are usually more red. Luckily, once I added to some doggy shapes to the head and removed the stripes, she looked like a perfect golden retriever!
It seemed natural to make Cooper a little chubby bulldog, but his green eyes made him look too cattish, so I changed them to brown.
Vince was the hardest, because calico dogs aren't really a thing -there's tri-color and merle, but they follow different rules. I considered changing his markings to more closely match an Australian Shepherd, but it seemed a shame to change him that much when the other family members were so close to the originals. I tried throwing his usual markings on there and it looked OK! I figured I'd only really get in trouble with the calico cat purists and honestly having doggy-Vince urring even further away from "real" colors might actually help my case that it's just a cartoon! π
Oh also, I completely lied. Litterbox will be 4yrs old NEXT month! It made for a more believable story and I was lying anyway, might as well go all in!
