Making of "Wake Up"

It was a 4 panel comic right out of the box and Momma Librarian already followed me and was happy for me to use it. It was too late for that year though, so I had to wait.
The next year was lockdown and I didn't get my shit together for it. Last year I was busy with the plush release -but this year it's time had come! The problem was now the script sounded a little young to be Vincent. I asked if J had any ideas and he added the extra beat of Vincent being the one to realize his own mistake.
I wanted Cooper doing something that a toddler or cat might do. Awkwardly climbing on her and falling asleep fitted the bill perfectly!
I played around with Vincent's expression in the last panel. I thought a smile might be funny, like he's doesn't understand the gravity of the situation, but it also could be read that he does and doesn't care -which was brattier than I wanted. He needed to be surprised, almost blaming her for being the "her" and making him in trouble!
