My oldest threw this one at me when he was about 5. Told to me like I was some kind of moron.

The funny thing is so much of parenting is figuring out when to "ignore yourself"! It's near constant mental gymnastics to work out which way to go on every request (demand!) 😅

I didn't want them both just standing there, so I thought Fran making dino nugs would make it more visually interesting -plus more insulting that he's asking for candy when she's clearly making him dinner.

I purposely left her face ambiguous in the last panel. Is she about to flip, or considering his plan? I was about to flip (it had been a long day!) but for the comic it was fun to suggest the latter.

I took my musings about what might happen next to J and he tried to explain something about Fran thinking about Fran. I wasn't really following his logic, so he drew me this very quick sketch to explain:
