Making of "Aladdin"

My oldest said this last month and I tweeted it:

No one actually said anything about the "disregard" (I think they all know how weird my kid is by now haha!) but I always feel funny transcribing something he's said and wondering if I should change it to make it more "realistic"! 😅

Every day I see parents post the most ridiculous things their kids have said and afterwards there's always the comments about how a kid would never have said that.  You don't realize until you're around kids a lot how much crazy nonsense comes out of their mouths!  The order they learn stuff in is completely batshit.  I err on the side of believing the craziest tales, because if they were made up, the poster would have toned it down! 🤣  After thinking all that, I realized I had a relatable comic on my hands!

I drew this one sitting on the floor in the utility room while Fiasco was still getting used to me.  As it's just a back and forth between Vince and Fran, I wanted make it more visually interesting.  I though drawing panel 2 in a Disney style would be fun!

I was originally going to stick an Aristocats kitten head on Aladdin's body, but the kittens have small eyes and fluffy faces compared to Vincent and it didn't look quite right!

I used some artistic license and made a look I was happy with.  I love how cursed it came out!  Next I added a Cooper-Abu, this time basing the head a bit more on the Aristocat kitties.

I was lucky enough to find this official background on Google and here's hoping Disney won't get upset about me throwing it straight in there!

The rest of the comic came together very quick thanks to reusing of some previous linework.  Right at the end I decided to add a more elaborate background to panel 3 to give panel 4 more of a "snap back to reality" feel.
