Young Grampaw & Kitten Joel

I needed a young Granmpaw for a new Kitten Joel comic I'm working on. I placed Joel and current Grampaw's lines on trop of each other and picked and chose the best bits. The ears, eyebrows and tail are Grampaw's, while the general proportions are Joel's. I kept his beard, but made it more perky, like Joel's cheeks. I warmed up the fur color a little, like he's gone greyer as he's gotten older. I considered giving him aviator glasses like J's Dad used to have, but it caused a bunch of tangent issues and made him look dorkier than I wanted.

I'd drawn Kitten Joel before in this comic, but I needed a better reference model so I drew him standing next to Kitten Fran. Oh my goodness! It's too cute!! I had to share it with you guys!!
