Not So Itsy-Bitsy

Admittedly (and quite obviously) no where near the largest bikini I've ever concieved - if you are after sheer size then consider 'Tying the Knot', 'It's a 2 Girl Job', or the incredible 'Penny - Part 21' for starters - but still, in terms of actual size, this garment still takes some serious filling. And plenty of sunscreen, too!

If anything, scaling up the bikini is arguably a greater challenge than scaling up the humble bra. In many ways, we expect a bra, especially those in larger sizes, to be more sturdy and substantial by nature. It is afterall, primarily a functional garment if nothing else. In contrast though, the bikini is more often imagined as being skimpy and minimal, a way of allowing the wearer substantial exposure to the sun and the sea whilst providing just enough cover to keep ones modesty. There's a risk that if the garment is too obstructive and enveloping (something like 'Blimp Bikini Concept', then the wearer would be better off arriving at the beach almost fully dressed. Yet large, natural breasts are heavy, cumbersome things, and they still demand a good amount of support, as well as the wearer being reassured that their brisk walk along the beach or game of Frisbee won't cause a severe wardrobe malfunction!

As with 'Traditional Bra Pushed Way Too Far' and those that came before and after it (such as 'Give Me Strength' and 'A Floored Design'), the first temptation is to do what the lingerie and clothing industry tends to do anyway - take a smaller design, and make it larger with minimal effort. It's no secret that most plus-cup lingerie is often based on the slight, more profitable sizes and then lazily scaled up in an attempt to contain a bigger bust.

This Bikini does a bit of both, I'd say. From how it is sitting on our protagonists chest - that is, with a slight slump - we can probably guess that the band isn't fitting well enough to provide a good hold on the ribcage. Again, there's a compromise here, and a band that is too thick and chunky is going to lose its appeal as a skimpy peice of swimwear. On the plus side, unlike in 'Hop and Pop', the rather minimal string straps have at least been doubled up, leading to widened shoulder strap at the top. It may eventually lead to an unfavourable tan, but it will at least reduce the amount the straps rub and dig into the shoulders. As for the cups and the bridge of the bikini, well, they're at least sizeable enough to contain the ample swell of our protagonists assets, yet still maintain some cohesion to the fun and flirty design of the bikini bottoms. It's a compromise, for sure, but one that is just about passable at this size.

Of course, everybody should be entitled to a break, and I'm sure there are many more bosomy beauties who deserve some sea and sand - so perhaps we'll revisit this idea at some point. After all, we can always push things further, I'm sure...
