Banned T-shirt

Indulge me a little, when I say that there is something quite charming about the juxtaposition of a rebellious, alternative looking girl wearing a traditional, pretty and perhaps what many may call 'frumpy' bra.

Of course, this is down to the fact that as bras get larger (especially in the cup), there is generally less choice in styles and designs. Therefore, the options available tend to be less offensive and more palatable, thus avoiding splitting an already modest demographic of wearer even further. Even this custom design, as worn by our protagonist 'Birdie' here, would most likely be chosen off-plan - built to size, but using a pre-determined colourway and selection of materials. Requesting it in, say, a more funky custom fabric would add even further to the already quite intimidating cost, and, lets face it, Birdie looks like she has more exctiting things to spend her money on (well, at least for her) at times!

That stark and edgy contrasts between styles, however, is actually the most rebellious thing about Birdie's look, in my opinion. I've talked before (with 'A Floored Design', for example) about how I adore the use of lace trims and little bows on even the most enormous of bras as an attempt to make them just a little more pretty and feminine, and detract from the fact that they are a sturdy, essential means of support before anything else. Yet, this attempted 'pretty-fication' of such a substantial garment is once again thrown on its head, when paired with a wearer whose wardrobe and aesthetic couldn't be much further towards the ends of the spectrum if they tried.

Now, as you can probably tell, Birdie has grown considerably since Jugg-O-Naught's 2023 Tour. The t-shirt was a tight and ambitious fit even back then, but after another year, it seems like no amount of squeezing and stretching is going to fit those whoppers into that top! Indeed, fitting in much at all is going to be quite the challenge without serious risk of wardrobe failure.

Anyway, I don't know about you guys and girls, but I think that the combination of tattoos and ripped jeans paired with a big, traditional, lace-trimmed bra is far more rebellious and alternative than any basic band tee. I say Birdie should own the look...
