The Same, But Only in Name

I must admit, it's been a long while since I had a vacation. Especially one with some sea, sand and sun. Even so, a holiday that you expect to be relaxing, can also come with its own problems; sometimes, you're just trying to relax and enjoy some time to yourself, and then by a chance encounter, you find yourself chatting away to another holiday maker. Perhaps you helped them translate something as they looked puzzled at the Hotel bar, or maybe let them borrow your book after you caught them eyeing the cover at the poolside? Then it begins!

Thankfully I've never experienced this phenomenon much myself, but it is most definitely a thing: Before long, the random stranger you let borrow your pen is now tagging along with you everywhere. To the beach, or to bars, restaurants and activities - you name it. Eventually that relaxing vacation becomes a none-stop game of hide-and-seek around the Hotel, as you try to sneak and dodge your way around the complex without bumping into your over-keen new 'friend'. I'm sure Saff here will tell you, trying to sneak and dodge with such enormous breasts is pretty much out of the question. There really isn't much she can hide behind!

Now, I'm sure Saff's eager new aquaintance is pretty harmless, but her insistance that they're 'matching' bikinis give them the effect of being twins is bordering on the delusional, I will agree. Whilst the bikini itself is made by the same brand, in the same style, it is hard to argue that it really is the same garment. Even the stripes have become so huge and distended that, are they actually stripes or just panels of colour at this point?

This chance wardrobe clash does give us the rare chance to compare the 'same' bikini at both ends of the spectrum. I did a similar thing with 'Meet the Twins' (who are actually twins), as they both purport to model the same bra, just in vastly different sizes. With a bikini, however, there is much more pressure to keep the design feeling 'skimpy' or 'revealing', and as with 'Not So Itsy Bitsy', the challenge of scaling up a lighter, more flimsy garment ensues.

Those thin, string-like straps are perhaps the weakest link in the upscaled design, although they are much more substantially anchored to the enormous panels then their more modest counterpart. A large, wide, padded piece has also been added where the halterneck design wraps around the neck, helping to spead the huge weight and avoiding it cutting into the shoulders and neck, at least a little. Those strings remain simply to hint at the bikinis skimpier origin, and should just about cope with careful use - although they really are on the edge of their capacity, especially as the bikini is somewhat overloaded. The front adjusters, and the clue here is that they are plural, sit snugly between the cups and offer some mild adjustment to help contain such vast bosoms. The smaller article only gets one, much lighter-duty adjuster, and even then, it is really more for show than anything else - the theme carried over to the matching breifs. Finally, there are the mighty cups or panels themselves, and despite their sheer tent-like abundance of fabric, they still seem woefully under-engineered to contain such huge, heavy breasts in all but the most steady and predictable situations. There is some extra re-inforcement subtly added to the seams and structure, but it makes negligable difference at this size!

Of course, like many clingy travel-buddies, perhaps Saff's new friend is interested in more than just their shared love of a good book and similar tastes in swimwear...
