Titles:
Aspect of Conflict: The opponent of the End, Conflict can be also be interpreted as Defiance. Born of humanity’s desire for progress, despite all the perils and challenges that lay ahead, the Aspect of Conflict is a being that marches onward to a singular, perfect goal, regardless of the pain and suffering it will have to endure in order to achieve such a goal. As with all Aspects, there are notions it will oppose due to its inherent nature. For the Aspect of Conflict, that will most certainly be the thought of surrender, and acceptance that things cannot change. Without proper guidance, the Aspect of Conflict can easily become a force that crushes the weak underfoot without notice or care, as a tyrant amongst tyrants.
Last of the Tuzi: The Tuzi are a tribe of God Slayers, credited with the destruction of the Chinese Pantheon, and were a tribe that stood as the first amongst equals of those who had Sage Martial Arts. Still, the Chimera Incursion inflicted terrible losses upon them without the aiding bulwark of the Jade Empire, and their incessant need to not retreat, lest they no longer be Tuzi. The Tuzi is a tribe built upon a foundation of countless dead, from which heroes of great strength and power were born. Li Song is the last of that Tribe, and the last wielder of all the power and faith they stole from the gods. Upon the completion of his Yimin, Li Song will be the First of the Tuzi and shall reshape the tribe in accordance to his will, but for now must follow the edicts set before him, so that he can continue to carry the mantle of his clan and receive the power of the only family he ever knew.
Reincarnation of Lucifer: Lucifer, the Great Betrayer, was the product of the Aspect of Creation as the vision of perfection. When God chose to have Angels respect humanity, Lucifer rebelled and was cast down to Hell, where he killed every Demon, and tore apart the Aspect of Destruction. He spent centuries reforming the remnant demons into a race in his image and with his own blood. After his Death, after Michael the Archangel scored upon him a mutually-killing blow, Li Song was later born using his spirit, and thus has access to his knowledge, power, and a semblance of his physical attributes. However, so great is the will and power of Lucifer that he retains his identity, enduring the process of reincarnation, and he hopes to take this new body as his own… along with all its power and glory.
Character Summary:
Li Song is the Aspect of Conflict and the Last of the Tuzi Tribe. Orphaned at a young age and raised by the Tuzi into adulthood, until they abandoned their right to call themselves Tuzi by fleeing from the Chimera. He set out upon his Yimin, and changed the world in his passing. Talented and nigh-peerless in strategy, the sword, and the Sage Martial Arts of the Tuzi, before considering his latent abilities as the Aspect of Conflict, he traveled through the Wastelands of China on horseback, encountering companions, and overcoming obstacles, during the Onset of the Second Incursion.
At the beginning of the Second Incursion, Li Song came into contact with the Silver Maiden, a composite being from another CORE in the far future, that was sent back in time. CORE sacrificed an infinite amount timelines and lives in exchange for changing a future where the Ebony Emperor, the Aspect of the End, reigned supreme and unchallenged. The artificially forged Aspect of Time, with the goal of saving Reality at any cost, manipulated Li Song to go to Japan to acquire Innovate Clear for her purposes of controlling the world’s governments and secret organizations.
Li Song refused to relinquish Innovate Clear, held off the Silver Maiden, and was rescued by Valerie Creighton from the Aspect of Time after arriving to the shores of Japan. Despite summoning the Blade of the Morning, and defeating the sword that betrayed him, Li Song was unable to save Innovate Clear. Driven to despair regarding her power, and how all would seek to use her, the holder of the Longinus ended her own life with her rescuer’s own weapon.
Thus, began Li Song’s efforts into saving the world from the impending destruction the Silver Maiden intended to save it from, while also countering the Silver Maiden’s own ruinous efforts to save it. Growing quickly into his powers under the tutelage of Valerie Creighton, making allies of the Reincarnation of Odin, and gathering various swords and allies to his cause, he has since managed to save the world multiple times over, but the number of threats that continue to arise are noteworthy and taxing upon his abilities. The Preservers has since formed around him, a gathering of unique and capable of individuals from Hell, the Church, Grigori, and Humanity itself, in order to address the challenges all four Factions now face.
Lauded and hero-worshipped due to personal feats, and the efforts of CORE to present him as hero, Li Song is currently cherished by Humanity, despite his abilities to destroy everything in his path. The only possible checks against him are the companions he’s gathered, his opposite, and weapons beyond imagining. Thus far, due to his own good nature and efforts to not leverage his reputation, looks, and other talents into manipulating the public, he has become the foundation upon which the Preservers is built, to which all the individuals within aspire to be like. He is a moderating influence and binding agent to the disparate, powerful group, composed of immensely powerful strangers from vastly different walks of life.
Stats:
Diplomacy:
Li Song’s reputation precedes him in the minds of all, which intimidates many. The height of his perceived character encourages caution in others, and urges some to seek him out with various intentions. Though raised in the Wasteland, where manners and social norms are relatively untaught, he has quickly learned etiquette under the tutelage of Valerie Creighton. Socially capable, he’s developed to leverage his looks and appearance, which can easily affect any gender of all known races. Though capable of seduction and persuasion to a great degree, it’s noteworthy that he does not use such skills often, due to his belief in honor and fair play. However, it is reasonable to assume that if he can use such tactics to prevent bloodshed, he surely will.
Martial:
Li Song is the Aspect of Conflict, Reincarnation of Lucifer, and the Last of the Tuzi. Being one of the three would make for a legendary combatant, but all three combined makes a foe whose defeat in combat is nigh-unthinkable. Equipped with the Sword of the Morning, Masamune, Clarent, and Allsbane, that notion is nearly laughable, especially when considering the four swords’ constant increases in power, utility, and loyalty to the being who ascended them. Li Song has been seen wounded a multitude of times, but his durability is constantly rising and his ability to heal is also noteworthy. His regenerative abilities are magical in effect, with most forms of damage rendering his damaged parts into arcane essence, which is then reconstituted, though when lacking in energy he takes damage he is unable to heal until he regains the aforementioned energy. He is incredibly skilled and capable with the sword, to the point where his attacks can assault Reality itself, and his ability to multiplicatively increase his effectiveness through tactical decision making makes him an even greater threat. This is without considering the allies he can call upon during battle, as well as the assets that would be happily provided to him on the event he asks, and the sheer versatility of magical powers. Under certain conditions, his abilities increase exponentially and grant him greater powers.
It is noteworthy to mention that Li Song’s four swords are specialized living beings that never leave his side and have held their own against Aspects for a handful of seconds. Not only must their abilities be added to his own, as they can be used and allow themselves to be used to maximum effect by him, but when they are not in the forms of swords they are combatants that will not leave his side during combat. Primi Sanguinis Occisor, Masamune, Clarent, and Allsbane’s Martial Stats should be considered additive to Li Song’s own. He cannot be considered at his full strength, nor they, if not fighting together.
Stewardship
Li Song is not an individual currently suited for the task of maintaining and organizing a group, though he is capable of taking care of his own finances should the need arise. He instead relies on the effort of others in this regard, though it’s to be noted that he’s not deficient or necessarily incapable in this particular field. Time and time alone is the main obstacle to his becoming capable in economics, as he can typically spend his time becoming stronger, while companions he trusts can do better paperwork than himself. Still, while not specialized in the role, he can fare well on his own and guide a group through dangerous lands and provide with them. Being an individual born on the Wastes, and expected to lead a Tribe, he is capable at managing a group’s stores of food, maintaining a camp, and establishing a firm system that can survive the rigors of living outside of the reach of civilization.
Intrigue:
Li Song’s ability to sneak about might be his most terrifying asset, given his martial abilities and his mind, as he more than capable of evading most systems of detections, both arcane and technological in nature. As the Aspect of Conflict, he has access to a power called Nemesis, which allows him to negate most forms of energy. Light, sound, heat, and pressure all fall to this power, which allows him to negate his presence to the basic senses of most individuals, which still outstrips most surveillance and detection technologies in close-range. He is capable of gathering information and fighting while in this state, and he can use it to conceal others, as well as supplementing his own knowledge of staying unobserved and avoiding detection.
Piety:
As an Aspect, Li Song is capable of feats of magic on par with other Aspects, such as Creation. Despite having the ability to utilize magic in an offensive manner, Li Song more often utilizes magic in a supplementary effect, which makes him ever more deadly. He is capable of creating whole armies of drones, equipped and armed, in an instant. More esoteric abilities, such as putting creatures to sleep in an instant, are also within his abilities. However, what must be mentioned is the range of his abilities. If his opponents are not concealed from his sensory range, which can be spread across the world in a net, he can enact his power upon them with ease. Not only that, but his power as an Aspect also exudes change upon reality itself, with individuals being able to grow stronger, limitations being lifted, and preconceptions becoming more easily challenged or dismissed. His powers are myriad, noteworthy, and deadly, but it is to be noted that they are supplementary to his purpose as an unstoppable juggernaut in combat. His magic is best described as merely his will imparting itself on the battlefield and the world, instead of being a tool for him to freely utilize.
Learning:
In terms of intelligence, Li Song is not to be underestimated. Though not excessively gifted in regards to any particular subject, he is capable of complex interpreting and understanding within a limited timeframe. In the span of a few weeks, he managed to acclimated a general college-level education and shift to a modern way of life with ease, which many of the Wasteland find difficult to do in a much longer timespan. However, it is to be noted that his intellect when in comes to tactics, and different applications of his assets, is not to be reckoned with. On the battlefield, he has exhibited the ability to calculate the reactions of allies and incorporate their movements and instinctual responses to stimuli into his grander ideas. In battles, his response to foes are methodical in execution and seemingly simple in terms of complexity, but crash upon his enemies with unstoppable momentum and force. It is possible that he cannot be outdone in terms of tactics, as long as an opponent is not completely prepared for him and he is not similarly prepared for them.
Equipment:
Tuzi Traditional Garb (Warrior): A set of clothing made to be durable and flexible, but not suited for the purposes of combat. However, it appears to reform as his wounds does, as long as he has adequate power to fuel his regenerative abilities. During the times when it has been broken, Li Song has requested it be remade. Its materials might be of higher caliber than his original set, but the clothes retain their traditional nature completely, and he intends to continue wearing them as a connection to his tribe.
College Uniform: A college uniform without any markings, it is a suit one is supposed to wear while attending lectures in a university, and makes one look quite sharp and capable, even if they are still young. While Li Song has little trouble looking sharp and capable, he wears this college uniform to somewhat blend into crowds. Due to his more clandestine abilities, he is more than capable of doing so without using magic, but a sharp eye can pick him out of the crowd with relative ease.
Light Pistol: A Directed Energy Weapon dropped into the Wasteland for the purpose of supplying those who wish to stay outside of Arcologies. It utilizes Light Magic in the bolts it creates to impart damage onto targets. It has unlimited ammunition, but is incapable of piercing even lightly armored targets. In Li Song’s hands, when under the right circumstances, its damage is upgraded immensely. However, it is incomparable to weapons utilized by the Aspect of Time, which had been capable of bypassing all of Li Song’s protections with relative ease.
Machete (Common): A Machete scavenged by Li Song. It is a simple blade composed of scrap which he has refrained from utilizing energy to Ascend, because it’s fragility will most likely transfer over to its Ascended form. It has a well-made handle and a strap on its end for ease of usage in both combat and foraging.
Quantum Communicator: A Communicator locked to a Quantum system linked to a massive database and AI maintained by CORE. While having all the capabilities of a regular Communicator, its connection to an AI and CORE databases makes it an asset not to be underestimated. Capable of programming and commanding whole armies of Drones manifested by Li Song with relative ease, as well as take control of vehicles and pilot them effortlessly, its abilities at computation, adaptation, and surveillance are not to be trifled with.
