Speaking of spanking kids, I grew up in an Asian household where it's very common for parents to spank their children if they're bad (mostly because they have bad grades in school or if they have a bad attitude in general) but not in an abusive way. Lucky for me, my strict parents didn't spank me or my brother when I was a kid, they used "words" to discipline us lmao which was hurtful than getting spanked I guess..
