No Page Tonight/Monday/Good House News

Yesterday was pretty dire. We drove an hour to our attorney to pick up the paperwork to file, an hour to the planning department to file it, was told that we needed OFFICIAL signed copies from the land surveyor, had to drive to the surveyor to get those which took another 2 hours waiting, only to then finally arrive back to the government offices as they closed. It was a pretty disheartening trip, all things considered. We went in today assuming the worst.

And yet here we are, proud new owners of our very own home.

WE FUCKING DID IT, EVERYONE!

Land survey: FIXED. Land status: SAFE. Loan status: APPROVED. Permits: RECEIVED. Home: ORDERED. WE FUCKING DID IT. It took TWO ENTIRE DAYS BUT WE DID IT! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! The process has officially BEGUN. All we're waiting on now is someone to come check out how much dirt we need to raise our land above a flood level benchmark, which should happen on Wednesday. Now, we just have to get the driveway made, the land cleared, the electric poles set up, the sewage line made, the house delivered...There's absolutely a lot more still to be done, but the most important thing is that now we're at a point that we can do it! WE'RE GETTING A HOUSE, EVERYONE!

Again, thank you all SO MUCH. We wouldn't have been able to do this without your amazing support and generosity. Unfortunately, we ate up almost the entire week doing this. Unfortunately, most of the pictures we took of the model version of our house have Leslie's relatives in it and the model wasn't there today for new pictures, so unfortunately, all we have are shots of the dining room/kitchen.
