God, what a rollercoaster of a week. So, good news: Trailer is DONE. We saw it! We went in it! WE WENT INSIDE OUR HOUSE! It was sawed in half and dark as hell because daylight savings time means it gets pitch black at 6:00 PM here, but we were in our house and it was AMAZING! We even got a delivery date, which was TODAY! YES, TODAY! So our house should be delivered and on our land now, right?!
So, that's when not even 15 hours later, we get the bad news.
We recently had a tropical storm hit our area, and the front yard where our house should go is completely flooded. The water is so high, it's reaching our house pad, meaning the ground is soft and our house would sink. So we have to build ditches and drain the water, because right now it's too muddy and too far into the woods for it to dry properly. That sounds bad enough, right? But oh, it gets worse. Apparently during all this, our district passed a law requiring our house pad to be an additional 16 inches off the ground. This was news to everyone, and not anything anyone is happy about. This means our current house pad would be illegal until we raise it up even higher. So, we went from being finished and having our house TODAY to now having to do so much extra work and our house being delayed indefinitely with no idea how much extra this will cost.
I'm not gonna lie, this sucks. This sucks ass. Why do we constantly get so close to being done, only to have it kicked right the fuck away from us? Fucking christ. We're hoping we can still at least get the trailer to our land this month, but it's impossible to say right now. I want to get the hell out of Leslie's family's house as soon as possible, and we're doing everything we can to make that happen. But god, this fucking SUUUCKS.
Please enjoy the Suria titties. They are the only things bringing me solace in these trying times. And thank you all for your support! We're gonna get through this. EVENTUALLY.

Yeah, that's the silver lining in this. At least we're doing all this now before the house is there. Still sucks, though.

2019-11-09 04:15:14 +0000 UTCI'm thinking at least the house wasn't there already where it could have been flooded by the storm! Or would it have sunk if it was there already? I don't know how manufactured homes work.
