WE'RE BACK! Thank you all so much for your patience and support! This break was exactly what we needed, especially since this next half of the chapter is gonna have a lot of pages like THIS! This was quite a bit of work, but boy, was it worth it. I'm in love with how this page came out. Leslie is, too! They forgive me for writing a scene with 8 characters doing different things each panel, standing on a city sidewalk with several buildings behind them in a fish-eye angle.

This second half of the chapter is going to be much different as was always intended, but we needed a bit more time and rest to make sure it's done right. Again, thank you all so much for being so kind. I think you're going to like where this goes.

It was a very nice break for us, though! For Leslie's birthday, we made an hour-long pilgrimage out to a Spirit Halloween that took over an entire dead mall!

Of course, Spirit Halloween doesn't have THAT much stock they can allot to one store, so they just blocked off a small section of the mall. Still though, it was a really cool thing to experience, knowing that this horrific retail apparition haunts the long dormant shell of a civilization passed on...

We also marathoned the entire Child's Play/Chucky franchise. Every movie. Holy shit. I'm so upset that I slept so long at this. There's a very strong argument that if Chucky isn't the best horror franchise, then it's definitely the most consistent. And while we still love our boy Jason dearly... Fuck, the Chucky movies are just so actually goddamn good. Each one of them.

My PERSONAL ranking, with the caveat that none of these movies are in any way bad, would probably go...

AGAIN, NONE OF THESE ARE BAD. I love the social drama of 3's military camp and the entire factory scene in 2 is INCREDIBLE. Also, we skipped the reboot because it looked shit. And with the news of the cancellation of the Chucky TV series, we're a bit less inclined to sign up to a streaming service for it, though I've heard good things. But yes, this franchise is incredible. The characters are a lot of fun. It's our exact flavor of delicious trash. I hope it continues forever.
