We just got done watching The Game Awards. Usually we watch with an obnoxious sense of detachment and pessimism, but... nah. This was a good show. Yeah, it's more trailers than awards, yeah the jokes are cringe, yeah it's annoying seeing celebrities up there. But there were some genuine surprises and great speeches from the devs, with more noticeable focus on them. Though a lot of this might also just be me riding the high from the Okami sequel reveal, which was so far beyond the realm of possibility for me that I never even once dared to dream it could ever happen. I can see why Geoff Keighley teared up before presenting it. I teared up watching it. It's a dream come true that I never knew I dreamt.

Maybe I'll actually try out Astro Bot now. THOUGH FFVII REBIRTH SHOULD HAVE WON MORE AWARDS THAN BEST SOUNDTRACK (ALSO DESERVED).
