I wish being able to do that was a requirement for Metalbending. I'm not a big fan of people being able to naturally bend metal like those kids in the comic that did it without even actually trying to.

I don't get all the hate for Su not having paid for her crime. Did she go to jail? No. She was teen (looks to be 15ish?) who got involved in a gang. Once caught her mother sent her to live with her grandparents. That's a freakin' Hallmark movie. Since then she became the FOUNDER of the most stable and prosperous city in the entire Earth Kingdom. We can't have people like that around. Lock her up.

Nothing, (except for Korra losing her connection to the past avatars), has pissed me off more than Lin losing to Su in the fight. This supposed police chief was taken down by someone who uses metalbending creatively? I never liked Su, never will. She never payed consequences for her actions and Lin was made to look like the bad one. Fuck I hated this part of this episode so bad.

Toph could "see" the earth within the metal, that no one else could. When she was trapped the way it was animated highlighted the minerals in the metal

Are we sure about Zuko and Mei not being together long? Frrom what we've seen of Fire Lord Izumi, I could very easily see her being Zuko and Mei's daughter. Could they have gotten back together after the war?

There are many who theories that Su's father is Sokka. Due to her darker skin tone, love for meteorites, and that one of her son's facial structure is almost identical to that of Sokka. If the above theory is true, then I believe the reason Toph went wandering was because of the loss of Sokka. We don't know when this happened, though my guess is he died during the rescue of Korra from the Red Lotus.

The only two of Team Avatar to have long standing relationships with people we know are Aang and Katara. Zuko didn't stay with Mai for long, the mother of his children is someone we don't know, and I think Suki and Sokka broke up as well.

the "water arm woman" aka Ming-Hua is indeed voiced by the same voice actress who voiced Azula :) Her name is Grey DeLisle and she was also the voice of the young Lin from the flashbacks this episode :)

That's something I love in LoK: they show that being a good person doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be a good parent. Look at the Gaang: Aang favored Tenzin because he was the only airbender kid and Kya and Bumi resented him for that, Toph gave her daughters too much freedom and their relationship imploded... it challenges what we think of them, but at the same time makes them seem much more like real people, who sometimes mean well but still screw up.
