I know they are the bad guys. But Shane's laughing as a guy getting violently killed is off-putting. He did the same thing when that Xerxes episode when all those villagers were killed by the king's men.

But the fact that Gurman is delaying his troops under the pretext of making sure Bradley is dead to let Mustang and Olivier take the heat for attacking Central so he can come in to look like loyal hero restoring order does highlight that all these factions have different goals even if they are working together to save the country. I think it is right for the crew to discuss if Mustang, Olivier, and Gurman’s desire to succeed Bradley will cause friction between their three factions. They haven’t seen the show or read the manga at all, so it is good they are asking these questions since it shows they are engaged with the material. They have problems retaining the information, but to be fair the manga was a monthly manga, so it wasn’t uncommon for long time readers to forget stuff. I think that is half the reason we get so many flashbacks to refresh our memory.

Shane, part of the reason pride was having trouble with Ed and couldn’t go balls out was because he has just taken a ton of damage from the lion guy. Also, that’s who he is as aiming more for, and Ed was blacking and defending him. Pride has to be careful not to actually kill Ed.

Miles was simply contemplating what Grumman was thinking at that moment. This is not is the show, Grumman is Hawkeys's Grandfather on her mother's side. He was also was Mustang's mentor. He already proved his loyalty when he came to Central disguised as a woman and told the story about General Raven offering him immortality and was sent to eastern command after refusing. I really hope that they re-watch this show on their own time because they have a hard time retaining information. Or perhaps they really don't find this series that interesting like they did with ATLA. So there is no reason to go further with the show after they finish it. Which would be a shame.

A Homunculus is a living philosopher's stone too. The only difference between Hohenheim and Father compared to the seven Homunculus is their origin and the quality of their stones. Homunculus are artificial humans created by Father. Where as Hohenheim was a living human being forced to become a philosopher's stone. The only two that weren't artificially created of course were Wrath and now the second Greed who were given stones and only survived through their sheer willpower, but even that is different than how Hohenheim got his stone. The only other difference between them all is the quality of their stones. Father and Hohenheim split the entire population of Xerxes between themselves where the Homunculus were given portions of Father's stone so they have fewer souls in theirs. Father also somehow separated his seven sins to make a base for his children, each emphasizing the trait that gives them their name. The whole thing is super interesting.
