Doctor Who 4x9 Reaction Early Access!

who is dr who?

This is still, to this day, one of my top 5 episodes. I think it's amazing how they manage to combine all of these elements together. On paper, it looks like a mess with all of its different components. And not only does it manage to pay-off on all the complicated sci-fi stuff, it also brings an emotional punch that's not easily rivaled. It makes you care and be emotional about a story you haven't even seen, that we really know nothing about. And it also manages to create a properly scary villain, with some disturbing futuristic concepts (the echos give me chills), and tie it all together with a sentient computer. And all set inside the biggest library in the universe. Like, it sounds bonkers! But it works so well. Glad you guys enjoyed this as well, and Aaron did an admirable job keeping it together while rewatching. I was sobbing again by the end. I do that. Either way, this two-parter is one of the major reasons s4 is still one of my favorites. Also, it's been a year already?! I thought time travelled through normally was supposed to be slow... (Nice intro Gibbzee! :D)

Behind every great men there is even a greater Women, I love River so much!

From their reaction to certain things 10 does in this episode, I'm hopeful that they'll like Eleven. My Doctor <3

RevanTheRebel

I'll also say this. Apart from a few future companion/character goodbyes, this one will get you so hard once you've watched a few more seasons. When you're several more seasons ahead, go ahead and watch this again, I dare you. You will NOT be able to not cry. Lol.

GypsyTimeLady89

Damn, why did you have to make me bawl my eyes out now! I always bawl when River dies!

GypsyTimeLady89

The arrival of River Song into Doctor Who reminds me of how toxic this page will be in the next few months. The insufferable RTD fanboys incapable of seeing the beauty, depth and nuance of Moffat will plague every reaction video with all their pet complaints. Which is a real shame.

Nick Earl

Oh great, a RTD fanboy.

Nick Earl

River Song is one of the greatest companions of the nuwho era

Scott Archibald

aaaaaaaaaah probably one of the strongest and saddest endings to any doctor who episode ever. this season definitely has a lot of those, and the biggest ones are yet to come, but this one is in the top 3 for me for SURE. river's spiel had me in tears even though I was fully prepared for it

Zane

I'll never tire of River. She's delightful.

Cody Enos

Why? She is an amazing character.

TbcAlex

Don’t worry. You’ll be tired of River soon enough.

Bryan Matola

Great story arc episode to be followed next by great standalone episode.

Niall

They have the Blu-ray of the series, and for some reason that version of it plays at .97 of the speed of the normal version. So I guess the only way to sync it properly is to play your version at .97 speed

Adnan1610

Does anyone know how blind wave watches doctor who cause I've tried nearly everything and cant find a media to properly sync to episodes to watch.

I don't like any of RTD finales very much. The Daleks are always a bit too cheesy for my taste and not especially threatening as I never doubt the Doctor can beat them. Plus RTD had a habit of using over the top music and bringing in too many characters so it all becomes one big clusterfuck. There are two very emotional moments at the end plus a few good lines from Donna's grandad but otherwise I think it's a mess.

Nick Earl

the finale?, hahaha *desperate laugher*, I hope they weep. I expect erik to weep tears during the finale. Its that "good". Nothing more to say to it.

Rebel Pilot

I love seeing the Doctor furious. This is one of the best examples of it, but when he's ticked off, he's soooooo terrifying.

Three of my ten favourite episodes of RTD Doctor Who in a row! (The Empty Child/Doctor Dances, Girl in the Fireplace, Blink, The Family of Blood/Human Nature, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, Midnight, Turn Left).

Nick Earl

It's been a year.... I'm old...

Adar

Its still in my top 10 stories of modern Who to date and I'm not sure It'll ever leave.

Joseph Whitehouse

I don't really like Midnight because... [spoilers]... Because, while it's a great "the doctor fails" sort of episode, and I think it's good to show a hero that is not infallible, I don't think the doctor actually does anything wrong. I think like, Waters of Mars is a better example of a better "the doctor fails" episode, because then we can directly say, not only did he fail, but it was entirely HIS fault. He screwed up. But in Midnight, we don't get that, we just get a mystery creature that happens to be better than him, and that isn't nearly as interesting. The best part of Midnight is the aftermath, and how it seriously effects him... but we don't see that continue into any future episode, so it loses all of its impact. But that's just my opinion.

Ryan Kosier

When Eric yelled out my name "I" almost orgasmed!!! XD

Ryan Wojo

One of the best episodes of Doctor Who, hands down. The scene where River whispers the Doctor's name to him is fucking intense, David Tennant is such a good actor

Joe Entwistle

Midnight next!!! Yes!!!! Favourite ep

Adele

Been waiting hours for this lol GREAT EP
