Doctor Who 4x13 Reaction Early Access!

 "Journey's End"

Doctor Who 4x13 Reaction Early Access!

Comments

You know, Donna wasn't *that* bad without the Doctor (when she wasn't being yanked away from weddings!). It wasn't like she magically turned into a different person hanging around with the 10th Doctor. It just broadened her horizons. No reason that couldn't happen again in a different context.

Will

Meee

Jason Fisher

Anyone else a dummy that just realized this has been up for the past 6 days?

Zack

every time I think. This time I won't cry. I was wrong.

Einar Sigurðsson

She was mine too for the same reason. Plus she never let him get away with anything, always asserting herself when he got carried away. Just a perfect match for him as just complete best friends.

Anthony Wickizer

The Time War occurred between the old and new Doctor Who's. 8 was before the Time War, 9 was after.

Megan Krajewski

Donna was my favorite cause she was the only one that was not attracted to the doctor romantically. I cried so hard during her ending ):

Zerras Lo

Was never a fan of Rose. Martha was okay, Donna was good.

BFldyq

I saw "that" scene on reddit a few years back, and its what got me to watch the show.

Griff

They will LOVE the Waters of Mars. I'm so excited for it.

Megan Krajewski

special or not they need to watch the inbetween series or they will be lost on the next series.

Next on the list is "The next Doctor", "Planet of the Dead", "The Waters of Mars", and finally "The End of Time" Before you start season 5... Really you got a full 5 episodes to go through before you go to season 5. So you better not fucking skip them damn it!

My favourite episode non special is coming up in season 5. The Van Gogh episode is one of the best of all time. Cant wait for the reaction

Shane King

cool.

StevenBrown

Nope, still gotta wait. One last time. They’re watching the Doctor Who movie next week so that they can finish the next season of Torchwood before End of Time

PhantomForge

now for some very special specials :')

Matis

Yeah he does, it was in Revelation or Ressurection, either one of those i don't remember

Just realized we won't have to wait for DW or TW to ever catch up with each other again: thank goodness, that was annoying.

Chronos

mind elaborating?

Gibbzee

Full length ;)

TbcAlex

Davros does shoot lightning in Revelation, if I recall.

Paul Hayes

End of time part 1 and 2 yet so not really the end, but i guess thats the special so

Billz0maddic

Would have liked to have seen the reaction to where Davros says ‘You turn people into weapons’ and all the flashbacks come through.

seeing this episode was probably the first time in my life I was openly bawling at a television show. this episode destroyed me in a way that I couldn't have possibly anticipated at the time. donna noble, and more to the point catherine tate, brought something to this series that was so uniquely special, needed, and most of all human. it may have only been for a moment, but donna will always be the most important woman in the doctor who universe to me, and having to have everything she was built up to be essentially die is nothing short of the ultimate tragedy. I spent this entire season anticipating you guys getting to episode 13, and I found myself sobbing again years later just like the first time.

Zane

David Tennant: looks sad yet cool in the rain. Me a crying wreck: WHY DONNA WHYYY?

K-man

I know, it's so close! But then you look at their schedule and it's so far away!! Stupid spacetime...

Doug C

Wasn't a fan of this episode. The set-up is pretty much always better than the payoff in Who, and that doesn't change with Moffat, but these Deus Ex Machina heavy finales wore on me and I, for one, am looking forward to Season 5 and beyond.

Kaalyn Johnson

When I first watched this episode Donna’s exit BROKE me. I was a sobbing mess. She was my favorite companion. She had the best character arc over the course of one season than many companions do in their entire run. I know you guys talk about her yelling and stuff, but it was explained in this very episode it’s because of how insecure and small she feels. Her character is so human and relatable. Rose, Martha and Sarah get to live their lives knowing all the amazing things they have done with the doctor, but Donna will never remember any of that. The fact the her memory got wiped hurt me so much. All the wonderful things she did, the adventures she had, they’ll just be a distant echo in her mind. If she remembers, she will die. It’s was all so sad for me to watch. That’s what’s truly heartbreaking. She was the doctors best friend and challenged him to become a better version of himself. Ughh Donna I can go and on about my love for her.

Fizzy

Donna is my favorite companion, so I'm glad that they grew to at least enjoy/like her. Loved this reaction as well! Can't wait to see them see what's next :))

Carmen Young

"Well Gotta find a new chick." -Eric. ....

Adar

I'm gona have to upgrade to 10$ status for the upcoming specials, there's to much for 10 minutes.

Chronos

Gonna go ahead and assume they've got that all planned out.

Mark McKeown

This one always hurt because of all the companions Donna lost so much and she never knew it and I always found that so sad

Elizabeth Dufur

The specials are next. "The Next Doctor" Christmas special. Then "Planet of the Dead" Easterish special Then "Waters Of Mars" Christmas special. Then the two part big "The End of Time" special before season 5 starts.

Ari is my Cat

Will always remember the first Human Timelord genetic metacrisis. Love this finale. Love this companion.

Anthony Wickizer

I know. But then again i like what happens to them.

Martin Wiggan

Also, I've always had the feeling (since RTD and Moffat are both fans of Big Finish audios) that the reason Ten didn't say "I love you" was the fact that the last time the Doctor said it, it ended really badly, and he was just too afraid to say it again. (Won't say exactly when because spoilers, but to pare it down so you don't have to go digging through hundreds of audios, check the Eighth Doctor's audios.) The Doctor is brave, but the one thing he's never been able to face is emotional pain.

Scribbles

yes it was. Then there is a christmas special, and then the 4 specials (planet of the dead, waters of mars and then the end of time parts 1 and 2)

Martin Wiggan

It is the end of the series. The specials are the specials.

The Time Lords have always been telepathic.

Scribbles

Yay! But it ain't the end of the season yet that was just a 2 part episode

Bert

I'm not sure it's so much focusing on spectacle, but that he focuses more on character and character interaction and he doesn't really worry about the plot being cheesy, because that's not what it's about to him. While Moffat, on the other hand, focuses so much on trying to make the plots as convoluted and twisty as possible that he doesn't care if he ruins character moments. (And then he says in interviews that if you don't understand his plots, you're stupid. Charming.) Sometimes his characterization is good, though.

Scribbles

Wish you had managed to show the scene of the doctors past companions who had died fighting for him.. Great scene but understandable considering there was so much

Eric saying his favourite companion is still Rose just made me super hyped to see Amy Pond!

Juliette

Hmm gonna have to watch the full length. Not loving the edits on this one.

Adele

I think it can be assumed that they will be watching The Specials before Series 5. Aaron's watched the show before after all.

Tom Monty

Shame that martha and mickey didnt work out for Torchwood

This wasn't the season finale

Is the Doctor Who schedule posted anywhere? I want to know where the movie fits in to the schedule and what specials they are going to watch before season 5.

Able

It's been 84 years...

YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Fizzy

I don't love this finale, which I find to be characteristic of RTD era season enders. It's focused too much on spectacle, the Daleks come across as cheesy and easy, and there are just so many characters it's all a bit of a mess. Yet, I can't deny the emotional brilliance of Rose's send off and Donna's tragedy. Brilliantly written pieces of drama, and even Moffat-enthusiasts like me will admit - I admire the conviction of those stories with no timey-wimey skimping out like with Hell Bent.

Nick Earl

LOVE THAT INTRO <3

WOO! Thanks guys! So excited to watch!

charlie

FINALLY!

Sarah coleman

I'd like to be the first to say thank you blind wave. I know some of us having been waiting for this for a while but it's still great that you'd release it today instead of next week. Now to watch yet another great video by my favourite channel!

Goddamit I want to sleep

I’ve been waiting so so long

Just as I closed my eyes my phone goes off

James

Martin Wiggan
