Children of earth is a full series of Torchwood but its a bit different than previous series. it was aired as a special over five days Monday to Friday rather than one episode per week and that is why each episode name is a number. I don't actually remember any advertisement prior to its release and i'm a big doctor who and torchwood fan. Because it was aired over 5 days it was over quick, I think they only ever repeated it once or twice in later years. Also it was aired at an earlier time. because of this there was less adult language and content also less blood and gore. But it is still the best series in my opinion. Cant wait for episode 2 !!!

I remember getting back from a school trip in Barcelona (in 08?) and catching up on this series. It was well recieved iirc. Excited for more eps! And regarding the 'bender' thing it is UK slang but also kinda dated now. Not heard it for a while. It is something that can be amusing when used by non-Brits e.g the character's name in Futurama. I also find it funny whenever I hear Americans say 'gangbanger' cause that phrase has only one meaning for me.
