Welcome to April's Monster of the Month final art!
I really enjoyed working on this one! With all of these little monsters I've tried to keep the color work down to 5 hours of work... but I don't believe I have ever actually hit this number. I just end up getting carried away on some little detail somewhere and suddenly I'm 3 hours over. This monster was no exception and it ended up clocking in at about 12 hours of work. (But it was a great 12 hours of work!)
Part of why it took so long as I did some color experiments with 2 other variants (a red one and a black one) that I was torn between. I went with this blue color scheme because it offered the most visual clarity, but I still like the others. If I can find some time to clean them up I will post those as well!
For the Bog-Jabberwocky I've done the Process Guide in the original style.
Thanks everybody for your support! Next week we are diving into our Classic Fantasy Illustration for the month!
