Mid-Month Update Post!

First off: Check out this amazing 3D render of our Monster of the Month from January, the Homunculus! The render was made by Juliano Souza. Wowowowow amazing work! I love seeing these! :D
Secondly: Our Classic Fantasy Illustration for this month is going to be a portrait of a Dark Wizard! It will be another image from our Plague of Dragons series and will feature in my now incredibly late 2018 Sketchbook.
Now, this month's image was initially slated to be an epic battle scene from the Silmarillion. I even have a few comps from The Battle of Sudden Flame and The Death of Feanor that I was going to put to a vote, but that will unfortunately have to wait. This month I received a commission from a classic fantasy IP that I have always wanted to work with for an epic battle scene from their mythology. I can't say what the series is just yet because of an NDA, but it is awesome... Hopefully they will let me share it with you guys soon!
The bad news is that it is just too much for me to try to tackle 2 major battle scenes in one month. (Scenes like the Battle of Five Armies take me about 3 full weeks of work to finish) So! We are doing something smaller this week for our Classic Fantasy Illustration this month while we finish this NDA battle scene. Hopefully we can get back to Tolkien next month.
The Good News: A figurative image of a Dark Wizard is actually perfect for a step-by-step tutorial... So this month, we are finally starting up the Tutorials tier! I will have an announcement in the next week detailing what subs of this new tier can expect as rewards each month! Stay tuned...
