I wish but I need that polar opposite to the hero however merlin was dark archer and was redeemable I think
Jamie Smith
2019-01-19 19:06:56 +0000 UTCSpeed force lightning took it back
Dan Banks
2019-01-18 12:24:36 +0000 UTCIn real life it’s possible, buuuuuuut because villain and plot it won’t happen on the flash
Dan Banks
2019-01-18 12:24:05 +0000 UTCI think it is possible for him to be redeemed because anyone deserves that chance like Barry said; however, I don’t think he will get redemption.
William Tanner
2019-01-18 05:29:48 +0000 UTCNope
Brady
2019-01-18 03:11:47 +0000 UTCYes, but only if he accepts Beebo as his lord and savior.
The Amish Electrician
2019-01-17 23:18:23 +0000 UTCI think it’s possible, and I’d like to see them explore that storyline briefly, but at the end of the day he’s too great of a villain to be redeemed for good.
Dylan Carpenter
2019-01-17 19:55:10 +0000 UTCYes, but only because I love the actor. So my heart hopes it to be true but my head says, no way in hell.
2019-01-17 18:26:44 +0000 UTCThis episode just made me question something from the last two seasons. What happened to Barry's Speedforce prison? He took his DNA orb out of it in last season's "Flashtime" episode, but there have been no consequences for it. Isn't someone supposed to be in it?
Christopher McBride
2019-01-17 17:40:48 +0000 UTCOf course... but come on! never gonna happen.
Gavin Hardiman
2019-01-17 12:33:34 +0000 UTCA Brainiac-5 Type of arc for Eobard would be interesting.
2019-01-17 12:13:12 +0000 UTCAnything is possible, but I chose nope cause I love Tom cavanagh as the bad guy reverse flash, and Barry always needs a reverse flash for me.
Cameron Mason
2019-01-17 12:10:52 +0000 UTCI think a much much older reverse flash that has seen most possible timelines could be redeemed seeing how evil life doesn’t reward him anything maybe that’s a push towards a path of redemption
Jackfont
2019-01-17 11:59:18 +0000 UTCunder the guidance of beebo, anyone can be redeemed
pong191
2019-01-17 10:13:14 +0000 UTCEobard is a master manipulator so he's definitely playing Nora here. Plus I think his hatred for The Flash supersedes any good will
Flashback007
2019-01-17 10:07:03 +0000 UTCI hope that Barry ends up being the one who saves Eobard from whatever his fate ends up being and then Eobard returns the favour during crisis either sacrificing himself or saving Barry from the anti-monitor or even from his past self (having Tom Cavanagh and Matt Letscher on screen at the same time playing the same character would make it the greatest crossover in my eyes)
Daniel Aka Jardo
2019-01-17 07:26:57 +0000 UTCI would like to say yes but there's something about the way he talks about Barry that makes me feel like he is tricking Nora. Although that vest he is wearing kinda reminds me of Vegeta who was bad and did turn good. But then again the show might be trying to subconsciously make us see the similarity and trick us all.
2019-01-17 07:13:15 +0000 UTCI agree with Barry (and the Good Place) in so much as I believe that everyone has the capacity for redemption and good but ultimately it is an individual's choice and continued choices that pave the road to redemption. Unfortunately, I just don't believe this Thawne we have in Flash and Legends will choose that road. Nothing in his scenes this season have convinced me that he will make new or different choices. Though, it would be extremely interesting to see a timeline or an Earth in the multiverse were Thawne made different choices. How trippy of an episode would that be?

2019-01-17 06:52:27 +0000 UTCWhat do you mean redeemed? https://www.reddit.com/r/ReverseFlashTV/ is confused. Also I stopped watching a full season ago, so I have no idea what's going on.

2019-01-17 06:07:51 +0000 UTCi think thawn is playing a long game, we know with season 1 and him spending time as wells he can manipulate emotions for his own purposes.
Angry bob ross
2019-01-17 05:49:31 +0000 UTCI could see it. I just don't if I want it.
Sam K
2019-01-17 05:00:56 +0000 UTCI think Thawne's playing the long game here. He'll do a few good things, but only because there's something he wants out of it. Like when he was forced to work with Ray when they stuck on the moon in Legends. In the end he'll go back to his villainous ways,
2019-01-17 04:47:40 +0000 UTCNope
Abhi Gudivada
2019-01-17 04:41:47 +0000 UTCMaybe Thawne will give info about how they can take down Cicada. Do you think we could see him help heroes in next years Crossover?
Andrew Garcia
2019-01-17 04:33:01 +0000 UTCI believe it is possible, but unlikely. But I love him so much that I want to believe.
Darth Skhorrn
2019-01-17 04:21:15 +0000 UTCI think it's possible, but I don't think the story will go there. My favorite scenario is, that he needs to be the Villain to prevent a dark and bleak future. So he chooses to be the Villain the world needs, to prevent the greater evil.
Red Claw
2019-01-17 04:15:14 +0000 UTCThe best redemption arc is the fake redemption arc where you think it will happen than they screw you. So I’ll go with a strong NO!!
Andrew Courtney
2019-01-17 03:54:47 +0000 UTCWhy isn’t there a maybe option
2019-01-17 03:21:56 +0000 UTCIt might be possible, but I think this is a trick.
Jeanette C
2019-01-17 02:56:50 +0000 UTCI do think that people can be redeemed from whatever they did that is viewed bad but in the reverse flashes case I think that he is manipulating nora into doing whatever he wants and if he is released from his future sentence then when he is out of jail and away from scrutiny the reverse flash will return to his evil ways and continue to be a thorne in the flahses and his families side.
BtsOT79798
2019-01-17 02:38:01 +0000 UTCI do not believe he can be redeemed. I believe redemption is possible for many people, but you’ll always have your Reverse Flash’s, Sauron’s, And Emporer Palpatines in the world.
Alexander Mullins (Valathor95)
2019-01-17 02:36:05 +0000 UTCDude willingly sided with Nazi’s. Hope he doesn’t get redeemed.
Alex James
2019-01-17 01:57:01 +0000 UTCMan, I hope he won’t be. I don’t think he could, realistically, but knowing The Flash (as in the show, not the character) he probably will be. Then again, Savitar wasn’t when it looked like he would, so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ragnarok
2019-01-17 01:42:54 +0000 UTCIf you think about it, he hasn't actually killed that many people. I'm pretty sure Black Siren killed more than him, and she got redeemed (although I personally don't understand how, since she showed no remorse for any of the people she killed, except Vigilante.)
Nathan Mortenson
2019-01-17 01:37:08 +0000 UTCBut IF! than waaaaaaaayyy down the line. He always comes back/they always bring him back. I cant imagine him getting help or working together with Team Flash for some reason with all that he has done so far. That will never be forgotten.
2019-01-17 01:35:44 +0000 UTCI believe everyone deserves a second chance except Aaron after the shit he pulled during Mario Party there is no redemption for that
Dip602
2019-01-17 01:31:21 +0000 UTCMost people deserve a second chance. Particularly when you can sense their remorse like Cecille. But there are some who do not want that second chance, who will evoke sympathy from the hero or their allies only to stab them in the back time and time again.
ObligedUniform
2019-01-17 01:25:51 +0000 UTCPossible, but unlikely.
Kevin Bartelen
2019-01-17 01:24:19 +0000 UTCMaybe this version of him but ultimately no. He redeems himself, dies and whoops another version shows up next season evil as always. No. He just dont want to get ececuted and is using Nora to get out. Eobard is still Eobard.
2019-01-17 01:15:13 +0000 UTCNo, can't go round killing mum's and looking for redemption. He's too far gone
Ethan Prendergast
2019-01-17 01:13:47 +0000 UTCNo, he’s too bitter. How is he even still around? He’s asking for a chance wearing the face of a man he killed. Eddie Thawne killed him self for no reason.
LKG
2019-01-17 01:09:41 +0000 UTCI believe anyone can be redeemed because barry says so
Matthew
2019-01-17 00:51:52 +0000 UTCEven Barry said maybe one day so if he can think of forgiveness I can to
Anvy_1
2019-01-17 00:51:03 +0000 UTCI don´´'t think he can be redemed, but I would love to be proven wrong. For some reason I got the feeling that he cares for Nora, but he's probably using her.
2019-01-17 00:46:29 +0000 UTCThe Reverse Flash must always remain Barry's ultimate enemy and act as a constant reminder of what he could become if he was corrupted by his own power.
Matthew Cronin
2019-01-17 00:46:13 +0000 UTCI actually agree with the sentiment that heroes need to be able to see the best in humanity. But I guess I'd never be a hero because there is no way in hell that I would ever trust Eobard Thawne. I just can not imagine him being truly remorseful.
Brandi H
2019-01-17 00:42:28 +0000 UTCNo. I think this is all a plan for him to get Nora to help set him free. And if he was redeemed he would probably go back in time and fix his mistakes since he's skilled enough to time travel without huge ramifications which would mean all the events of the show won't have happened.
2019-01-17 00:39:58 +0000 UTCNo, Eobard Thawn has always said how much hate he has had for Barry. So much hate he killed his mother and plotted a plan that took years of patience. Even after Eobard saying in season 1 that he knows how Henry and joe feel to look upon Barry with pride, he still continues his plan. He has always shown he hates Barry and I don’t think he can be redeemed or change. He will always have another plan up his sleeve.

2019-01-17 00:38:37 +0000 UTCMy body says yes, but my heart says no.
Diego R.
2019-01-17 00:38:21 +0000 UTCI wanna say yes, but we've been stabbed in the back, sometimes literally, so often by these shows. They've made me paranoid. I feel like Barry from season 2.
Ian Vega
2019-01-17 00:38:04 +0000 UTCIt could be possible but it good end up like him having Barry on the ground and about to kill him and Nora comes in and stops him by talking to him. Or he could just be using her
ChiefChill
2019-01-17 00:37:11 +0000 UTCMy gut instinct says no, but I think it would be interesting storytelling to have some sort of redemption for Thawne.
John M
2019-01-17 00:37:09 +0000 UTCYes. I’ve always believed that everyone deserves a second chance. Sometimes people need many, but it’s all about the choices people make in the present not the choices they made in the past.
