Pause for August and reflections on future

As promised in the Tifa release post, I'll give you an update here on what to expect in the coming weeks.

Billing paused for August

As you guys could read it in the title, yes, you won't be billed for August. I'm still not 100% sure, but there are good chances that it will be the last month of my break.

About my personal situation

That's with a lot of happiness that I can say that things go much better for me than when I wrote the June update. Releasing Tifa and Jessie scenes did me a world of good (despite this very disappointing performance of Jessie on Twitter because the algorithm decided to kill it; thanks Elon...), you can't imagine how happy I am!

Inspiration and motivation are completely back for me and I can't wait to lewd and pervert more of my waifus in the near future :D

Reflections on content & tiers

What I'll say here is only the result of my current reflections, nothing definitive. Since I decided to give myself a last month of break, it can still change, especially for tiers changes.

Regarding the content I (try to) offer each month, it's no secret to you all that my aim is to progressively (and completely) switch from artworks to animation. But here's the problem: with a full time job taking 50+ hours (travel included) of my time each week, releasing 4 to 5 artworks/sets every month doesn't let me time for anything else. All my current models have been paused since last December and I managed to release... one animation only since I opened that Patreon page (two since January). That's definitely not a satisfying situation to me. And what didn't help my depression was to see all my animator friends making great progress on their work (both on quality and productivity) while I was mostly stagnating because I don't practice animation enough.

So question is, what's the solution? I need to release more animations than one every 3/4 months. Practicing animation has to be done on a daily basis to be able to progress, which is impossible with my current schedule. I'm still barely starting my 3D journey and I don't expect to be able to make enough money any time soon to switch my job from full-time to part-time.

There's no magical solution to me: I'll have to lower the amount of artworks I release each month if I want to practice animation on a daily basis and release at least one each month. I'll still take time to think about it, but I'll probably have to reduce the number of monthly artworks from 4-5 to 2-3. My aim would be to give myself two weeks per month where I could completely focus on animation to begin with.

But then comes two questions: how artworks would be decided and what about the rewards generally speaking.

Despite this cut in content, I still want to take care of you all and make you happy as much as I can. So I'll probably let you all decide who will be the two waifus that I'll pervert each month in my artworks. One compensation for me tho: since I still struggle with animation and that it's not always super fun because of the difficulties I meet, I want to be the only one to decide who I'll animate each month. So animation polls will probably disappear, at least initially.

Since billing is paused for August, this month will be a test for this new content schedule, so prepare for an artwork poll very soon.

Regarding tiers now, Scientist will probably be masked (current subscribers on this tier will keep access to it until they will stop their subscription). Since the day I started that page, almost no one picked that tiers, and it was the same on FANBOX. I initially thought that I wasn't generous enough for Scientist, but when I compare with my artist friends, it appears that it's not just me. Generally speaking, subscribers (no matter the platform) seem to drop budget tiers to get (almost) all rewards.

Also, to make DOATEC tiers more attractive, I'll probably offer projects of my scenes as monthly rewards too.

Finally, I plan to keep you guys updated more frequently with regular WIPs, which is something I neglected until now. But since I have to consider my presence on Twitter (how much and frequently I post on it), I want to approach WIPs the same way than fully finished scenes. The idea would be to post multiple WIPs pictures/videos here on Patreon, while Twitter would get only one at once or even just a cropped version. This way you guys would finally get that reward you support me for, you would still get that exclusivity compared to the rest of the world and I would still be able to be more active on Twitter.

What's going with previous rewards?

I started a few months ago, even before my break, to prepare packs of previous rewards for Gumroad. But I suddenly feared that selling 3D smut stuff on it was against their terms of use. But someone on Twitter brought to my attention that real pornography stuff only seemed to be forbidden. So in the end I could finally start to post packs on it. As I currently have 4 weeks of vacations, I'll take advantage of this time to finally keep my word and make previous rewards available for people who missed them.

Rewards for July

I already posted 2 scenes and I plan to at least post another one before the end of this month (either an animation or an artwork). So people who started to subscribe in July with get something this time without needing to reach you individually in DM

To conclude, the image of this post is a WIP (lighting is yet to be done) of an animation I'm preparing for a pretty famous cyborg ^_^

Hopefully it will finished by the end of this month!
