I think it's important to remember that Luffy, someone who values food SO much, wanted Sanji to join his crew long before he had tasted his cooking. He picked Sanji because of his kindness and I love that about Luffy. He sees your worth as a person before your worth as a skill.

2024-02-13 23:11:22 +0000 UTCFun fact: believe it or not, Sanji's name was originally gonna be Naruto lol. Naruto is the swirling topping on Japanese noodles, just like his swirl eyebrow. But then Naruto the series debuted 2 yrs after OP, so Oda changed it to Sanji.

Live Action had 8 episodes and the screen time for each character is crucial to get the know the crew and the villains. No point in giving unimportant characters a big role.
