Sein added so much to the party and now he left a gaping hole. He taught everyone something I think which could have been his value in the narrative. But I hope he comes back. We need a corrupt priest and his name is Sein!

If I'm not mistaken, each episode covers about 2 manga chapters, which is why there is a cut in the middle. It's basically the next manga chapter. I don't think I missed any, but only one new German word: "Offen" (mountain range) -> open

it's sad because it's inevitable. And i know the parallels may seem a bit "in poor taste" to some, but the lifespan of a human compared to an elf is probably even smaller than the lifespan of a dog compared to a human. The inevitability that your dog who's sometimes your best friend, and family even, that they will die around the duration of ~ a 10th of your lifespan sometimes, it's heart breaking, and yet people still adopt their dogs, and love them unconditionally even knowing that you'll outlive them. It's sad that Frieren deep down must know that seeing Fern's grave is inevitable, but all you can do is hold on to those memories, constantly trying to remind yourself.

Sein being the parent πŸ˜‚ the claymation in the outro was really well done! The vibe of this show is so awesome. 😎πŸ”₯❀️

its actually amazing. I never thought when I was 12 in the 2000's hiding anime from anyone and everyone that these stories would spread to such a wide audience. Bless everyone here.

I think this show's greatest strength is that it does a lot of showing instead of telling (it does do a lot of telling, too, and it does a really good job of that as well). We really see how much these characters care about each other and it's beautiful ❀️❀️❀️ I also love how Sein is helping them out even after he left their party. The fact that Fern was momentarily scared of Stark because he doesn't realize his own strength is a very real moment from both of them. The people around Stark see his strength, but he doesn't always see it in himself. Sein taking care of them and then exclaiming that they should date in Frieren's company is just too good πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Y'all know I love me the parallels in this story and this episode is no different. And, yeah, the episodes do tend to have two parts to them (not always equal parts either, so I'm avoiding calling them "halves" lol). The anime generally adapts around 2 chapters per episode on average (well, slightly more than 2 chapters per episode, but I'm rounding down lol), which probably attributes to the feeling that each episode tends to have 2 parts to them. Sad to see Sein go, though

While the new outro is technicaly the same song, it is the second part of it. And it's probably the only anime outro ever that can make me cry every time... The way Frieren lays down on Fern's grave, and searching her memory for her is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time...

This whole episode was beautiful. And that light purple weeping willow like tree was just breath taking.
