I love making friends. At the same time it's really hard. Some people are just hard to get along with. Others just aren't a good match for you. But I really like that idea that Himmel said, that it's nice to be able to change people's lives even just a little bit. That reminds me a lot of Luffy as well. The Straw Hats change everyones life that they come across, just like the hero's party. And for making friends I've been taking acting classes, ukulele classes and piano lessons. Getting to know people with similar interests is cool. I'll be practicing lines with someone that I'm doing a scene with in theatre this weekend. That wouldn't have happened if I didn't expand out looking for ways to be more social.

2025-01-18 04:48:27 +0000 UTC@Honeybadger while I also think it's farfetched to think it comes from it, I kind of disagree with requiring an extensive knowledge of German to come up with it. There are some derivations you can make by knowing simple rules. Like in English, adding "-er" to some verbs make an entity who does it (e.g. to develop -> developer, to publish -> publisher, to teach -> teacher, etc.), you have it in German by changing the suffix "-en" of a verb to "-er" (e.g. entwickeln -> Entwickler, lehren -> Lehrer, malen -> Maler, lesen -> Leser, etc.). Of course it doesn't always fit, but it doesn't take a lot to learn derivations and to use them to get richten and derivate "Richter" from it :) Still think it's a coincidence ^^

2025-01-16 23:36:10 +0000 UTCThe manga recently went on a prolonged hiatus, but there's enough material for at least another season, which is in production right now with the same director, mostly the same key cast and crew, including Evan Call as the music composer which I'm really happy about. The only one missing is sadly Atsuko Tanaka, the VA for Flamme, who passed away last year :( The reason for hiatus is not explained. Some say it's due to authors' health concerns (this is very often the reason mangaka go on hiatus), others say they are actively working on S2 with the studio Madhouse, yet others say they are just taking a break. We will likely know more once S2 is closer to completion.

Blei (Person from the unknown team)-> lead (metal) Lecker (the chef of the restaurant) -> tasty, luscious, delicious Fresser (the monster Wirbel took Stark with to kill) -> devourer, glutton Update: Richter I've previously translated as "judge" (which is correct) - however, seeing him do his job, it might also be coming from the verb "richten", which means to straighten, to regulate, to arrange (kind of what seems like he did). "Richter" could then be "The person who regulates/s, arranges, etc."
