Reflecting on 2024: Challenges Overcome, Excitement for 2025!

Another year has come to an end, and as always, I want to send you my heartfelt New Year’s greetings for 2025 🎉✨ along with a brief retrospective on 2024.

I wish you all the very best for 2025 – above all, good health ❤️ and the fulfillment of your dreams 🌟. I know this sounds like a cliché, but it’s always true: the past five years have shown how quickly life can become chaotic for all of us, personal setbacks included. This is why I believe the wish for good health remains the most important.

Looking Back at 2024

The year started off quietly – at least here on Patreon – but that calm didn’t last long. By February, something happened that deeply affected many artists, including me, and caused ongoing anxiety throughout the year.

Due to immense pressure from two major payment providers, PayPal and Stripe, the well-known social payment platform "Gumroad" banned all NSFW artists from its platform within 24 hours in early March 🚫. For many artists, Gumroad had been their sole source of income, and this abrupt decision left them facing financial disaster 💔. This action was taken without warning, without an opportunity to adjust content, and without a chance to appeal. While I can’t say whether it was legal, it was undoubtedly unfair.

The consequences were far-reaching, especially as Patreon has a close partnership with PayPal and had already tightened its NSFW policies in 2023. For example, artists offering adult content were required to verify their identity through third-party services and provide additional documentation. In response to the "Gumroad debacle," Patreon revised its rules again in 2024. Unfortunately, many of these rules are vague and open to interpretation 🤔. However, some changes were clear:

• Artists must now obtain written consent for NSFW content from the individuals depicted – an impossible requirement for CGI characters 🖼️.

• Certain themes and terms, like "hypnosis," are outright banned and lead to immediate and permanent account suspension 🛑.

• Themes like "bimbofication" are not explicitly prohibited but are treated as a gray area ⚠️.

In April, the sudden permanent suspension of several well-known NSFW artists' accounts caused widespread panic 😱 – myself included. Patreon is not only an incredible platform but also my sole source of income 💼. Losing my account would mean financial ruin.

Steps Taken to Secure My Account

To safeguard my presence on Patreon, I had to take several drastic steps, which understandably raised questions among some of you 🤝. These measures included:

• Content Adjustments: I revised all uploads, tags, and descriptions to ensure compliance with Patreon’s guidelines 📝. Initially, this led to confusion as I navigated what was permissible.

• Content Audit: I reviewed all my existing content (over 1,200 posts) for potential violations 🔍. Ultimately, I decided to remove everything and start fresh, a difficult but necessary step 🗑️.

• Exploring Alternatives: I opened an account on Subscribestar Adult in May, which wasn’t fully activated until October. I also launched a Discord server and secured content in a MEGA cloud 🌐.

By summer, when I announced my vacation, I was completely burned out 💤. The constant pressure to meet Patreon’s standards was overwhelming – a proverbial sword of Damocles hanging over my head ⚔️. The stress and depression took a toll, and I gained nearly 55 pounds in the first half of the year. During my vacation, I devised a plan and began implementing it in August ✍️. Since then, I’ve found a system that is both Patreon-compliant and efficient ✅. Gradually, old content is (an will be) being reintroduced in a revised format.

2024: Challenges and Successes

Despite the hurdles, 2024 turned out to be one of my most successful years on Patreon 🌟. Since October, I’ve seen a significant increase in supporters, affirming that my approach is resonating 🙌. Some highlights include:

• Collaborations: Working with Supporters like Cole Jones ("Mischievous Bimbo Genie"), Zoad ("Addiction of Bimbohood"), and Gary ("Beauty Doctor") was incredibly enriching 🎨. Partnerships with Femurs TGComics.com and other renowned creators, like Sitri Abyss, in the community were also well-received 🤝.

• New Formats: My ongoing Second Content Level comics and mini-stories have become particularly popular 📖.

Thanks to your support, I was able to approach this year’s holiday season with a sense of excitement – something I hadn’t experienced since the pandemic began in 2020 or my father’s passing in 2022 🎄💝.

Plans for 2025

For 2025, my goals include:

• Ongoing Projects: Continuing the comics, mini-stories, and other works you’ve come to enjoy remains my top priority 💪. I will also release completed projects as surprises throughout the year 🎁.

• Process Optimization: I’ll keep refining my workflows to comply with Patreon’s evolving rules and make greater use of alternative platforms like MEGA and Subscribestar 🔄.

• Technical Advancements: My progress with Blender and Marvelous Designer (CLO) gives me hope to produce my first animation this year 🎥. Additionally, I plan to upgrade an aging PC workstation to accelerate rendering times and improve overall quality 🖥️.
